Schutterwald, October 1, 2026. Following an eventful year, Richter Aluminium GmbH is setting the course for the next phase of its corporate development: Susann Happle and Andreas Domann jointly assume management of the Schutterwald aluminum company effective October 1, 2026.
The previous CEO Tobias Kreutzer transfers operational responsibility after more than five years in executive management to two leaders from within the company's own ranks. Susann Happle previously served as Technical Director, while Andreas Domann was responsible for the company's sales activities as Sales Director. As Co-CEOs, both will continue their previous areas of responsibility while jointly shaping the strategic development of Richter Aluminium.
"Richter Aluminium was never a one-man show for me," emphasizes Tobias Kreutzer. "What we have achieved in recent years has always been the result of a strong team. With Susann Happle and Andreas Domann, two individuals are assuming management who know the company, our employees, and our customers extremely well and have played a decisive role in shaping the developments of recent years."
With the new leadership structure, Richter Aluminium deliberately focuses on continuity. Susann Happle will be responsible in particular for the areas of engineering, maintenance, and production. Andreas Domann assumes responsibility for administration, purchasing, and human resources in addition to sales.
Tobias Kreutzer also remains connected to the corporate group. He will assume the chairmanship of the Advisory Board of Richter Aluminium GmbH, which has been part of the Salmuth Aluminium Group since 2015.
Johannes Freiherr von Salmuth, Chairman of the Shareholders' Committee of the Salmuth Aluminium Group, honors both the work of the previous Managing Director and the achievements of his successors in a letter to the employees:
"Ms. Susann Happle has rendered extraordinary service to Richter Aluminium in her previous leadership roles and has played a decisive part in the success of our company. She will assume responsibility for the areas of engineering and production as new Managing Director while retaining her previous functions. Mr. Andreas Domann has likewise successfully developed our sales in an impressive manner in recent years and will therefore assume responsibility as Managing Director for both this area and administration, purchasing, and human resources."
The restructuring of management is another important step in a pivotal year for Richter Aluminium. Only in July, the company presented its green corporate identity as part of a new brand presence. At the same time, measures for an increasingly climate-neutral energy supply at the site were further advanced. These include the expansion of energy storage as well as the securing of additional land areas, which are also designated for the planned construction of two wind turbines.
The employees were informed of the change in management on September 29. During the event, Tobias Kreutzer was honored for his work as Managing Director. At the same time, Susann Happle and Andreas Domann were officially introduced in their new functions.
With the dual leadership, Richter Aluminium relies on a combination of technical and sales expertise as well as on executives who have actively shaped the company for years.
